February 2, 1957 - October 21, 2022

Steve Joe “Stevie” Reese of Trumann departed this life on Friday, October 21, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 19 days.  He was born Saturday, February 2, 1957 in and was a lifetime resident of Trumann.   He was a retired welder and a member of Providence Baptist Church.  Steve loved to camp, fish, cooking out and his dogs.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harles and Loraine Beasley Reece.       He is survived by two brothers, Harles “J.R.” Reece of Jonesboro and Scotty Dale Reece of Trumann.       Family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.   A Celebration of life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland.       Active pallbearers will be Jeff Reese, Ethan Reese, Eric Davis, Lane Davis, Jon Reese and Lathan Reese.  Honorary will be Kenneth DuVall, Jimmy Williams, Daniel Dickens, Russell Partain and Robert Beasley.      In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional.       Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net

    Our family is deeply saddened to hear of Stevie passing and take comfort in knowing he is with God and his sweet mama Loraine and daddy Harlas. Y'all are more then friends y'all are family. All the wonderful years we lived next door. Our prayers are with Junior and Scotty Dale, all of his niecies and nephews and greats. May God give you comfort now and in the days to come.
