Cleve Naomi Brown

Mrs. Cleve Naomi Brown was born on Wednesday, December 12, 1917, the daughter of the late Elex and Effie Gatlin Elrod. Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, October l0, 2007 at the family residence in Trumann at the age of 89 years 9 months and 28 days. Born in Decatur, Ala. she had lived in Trumann the past 50 years moving from Alabama. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Brown, one son, Theodore Brown, one grandson Derick Ford and five brothers. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Brown and William Brown both of Trumann; five daughters, Betty Stegall of Southaven, Miss., Janette Morales, Vivian Stracener and Carolyn Ford all of Trumann, Norma Ford of Brookland; one sister, Sybil Russell of Lepanto, Ark.; 26 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Murry Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Potters Cemetery of Lepanto, Ark. under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Brown, Johnny Russell, Brian Brown, Michael Stracener, Ricky Brown and Danny Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Virgil Campbell and Darryl Brown. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.. An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.

    Brown Family, We were sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs Brown. We always held a special place in our hearts for her. We still talk about the day we went to get our marriage license, Mrs. Brown was with us that day. She was a sweetheart. Due to our grandson's heart surgery we could not make it, but your family was in our thoughts. Thank you Mitchell for calling us.
