Carolyn Walker Ritter
July 21, 1953 - August 29, 2007

Mrs. Carolyn Walker Ritter was born on Tuesday, July 21, 1953, daughter of Russell D. and Evelyn Harmon Walker. Mrs. Ritter died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Methodist Germantown Health Center in Germantown, Tenn., at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 8 days. Born in Jonesboro, Ark., she had lived for the past six years in Olive Branch and was formerly of Dallas, Texas and Trumann. She was a ticket agent for American Airlines and a member of The Pentecostal Church in Memphis, Tenn. Mrs. Ritter was preceded in death by one sister, Kathryn Walker and her father. Survivors include her husband, Steve Ritter of the home; three daughters, Janet Mitchell of Covington, KY., Mary Ellen Mitchell of Norwood, Ohio and Jennifer Overstreet of Olive Branch, Miss.; two sons, Charles Mitchell of Marked Tree and Jeremy Ritter of Austin, Texas; her mother, Evelyn Harmon Walker of Marked Tree; two brothers, David Walker and Paul Walker both of Marked Tree; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, August 30, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church in Trumann with Rev. Terry Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Pallbearers will be Stephen Overstreet, Hall Bridgforth, Philip Flowers, Jimmy Droke, Charles Durham, Danny Easter, Daniel Gilbert and James Pierce. Honorary pallbearer will be Troy Moss. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
