Wilma Irene Davies
March 18, 1955 - May 29, 2007

Ms. Wilma Irene Davies was born on Friday, March 18, 1955, daughter of the late Robert L. and Wilma Elnora Kirby Whitlow. Ms. Davies died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 52 years, 2 months and 11 days. She was born and a lifetime resident of Trumann, a homemaker, and a 1973 graduate of Trumann High School. Ms. Davies was preceded in death by her biological parents, her parents that raised her, Clifford and Katie Belle Davies and a sister, Wanda Jean Goodman. Survivors include a sister, Anna Joe Strange of West Memphis, Ark., a niece, Rhonda Liles of Oklahoma; two nephews, Bart Benson and Bobby Benson both of Trumann and her boyfriend and caregiver, David Yancey of the home. Graveside services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark., with Rev. Darrel Miller officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.     Irene will be missed. Most weekends when we were growing up, either I would be at her house or she at mine. We saw a lot of movies at the Maxie or would go swimming, or whatever else we felt like doing, and could get away with doing.God Bless You AllDoris

    Dear Davies FamilyIm so sorry for your loss. I have know Irene since I was a little girl living in Jonesbooro. She worked with my mother at Kenny and we lived at the same apartment complex for a short time. I loved riding my bike to her house she would give me Butterscotch all the time she was just so good to me. I havent seen her in many many years but I still thought of her and her kindness often.
