Louis Thomas Beyersdorf
May 13, 1928 - March 30, 2007

Mr. Louis Thomas Beyersdorf was born on Sunday, May 13, 1928, son of the late Eugene E. and Lula E. Holloway Beyersdorf. Mr. Beyersdorf died Friday March 30, 2007 at the family residence in Trumann, Ark., at the age of 78 years 10 months and 17 days. He was born in Bay, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 58 years. He was a retired manager for Jeff Davis Coal Co., veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean war, member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masonic Lodge #693 for 51 years and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda L. Beyersdorf who passed away March 18, 2007; two sisters, Zettie Rash and Jeanne Woods; two brothers, Lawrence and Delbert Beyersdorf and his parents. Survived by two daughters and their husbands, Deborah and Dr. Doug Maglothin of Jonesboro; Donna and Andy Rogers of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Angelia and husband Jeff Herren, Emily Maglothin of Jonesboro, Doug Maglothin Jr. and Erica Rogers both of Little Rock, and one brother Harry E. Beyersdorf of Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 at the First United Methodist Church in Trumann, Ark., with Rev. Jim Wilson and Rev. Rex Holt officiating. Music will be led by Travis Eades. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements.. Pallbearers will be Ross Knuckles, Wayne Reeves, Dewon Smith, Bobby Manes, Terry Osment and Jim Tice. Honorary pallbearers will include Billy Mullins, Marion Stringer, Alton Holmes, Dale Harvison, Scotty Taylor, Alvin Hill, Trumann Masonic Lodge #693 and United Methodist Men. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 200 Pine Ave., Trumann, AR 72472.     Louis was so good to my mother, Dorothy Conatser, when he visited Craighead Nursing Center. He would bring her the Jonesboro Sun and the Trumann Democrat daily and weekly. He was a kind and considerate man. You have a lot to be proud of to have a father and mother that where so well loved by the citizens of Trumann.
