Mrs. Willie Mae Reeves
July 24, 1919 - August 25, 2006

Mrs. Willie Mae Reeves, was born on Thursday, July 24, 1919, the daughter of the late Erie and Icie Adena Carter Haskett. Mrs. Reeves died Friday, August 25, 2006 at the NEA Medical Center of Jonesboro. Ark., at the age of 87. She was born in Gorgas, Alabama and had lived in Trumann most of her life. She was a retired employee of the Singer Co. of Trumann and was the former pastor of the Payneway Pentecostal Church of Payneway. Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Reeves, Sr., three daughters, Mrs. Janie Stewart, Mrs. Earlene Pennington and Judy Reeves; three sons, Lonnie Reeves, Jr., J.D. Reeves, and Donald Reeves. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Nichols of Ola, Ark., and Mrs. Adena McMasters of Corning, Ark.; 20 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Frank Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Saturday, August 26, from 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
