J. P. Madden
June 12, 1924 - April 30, 2006

Mr. J. P. Madden, 81 of Tyronza, died Sunday, April 30th at the family residence. Born in Hoxie, he had lived in Tyronza for the past 36 years and was formerly of Trumann. He was a fitter welder for the Trumbo Mfg. in Memphis, Tenn., and a member of the Upper Room Apostolic Church in Tyronza. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Stella Rose Madden, two sisters, three brothers and was the son of the late James and Stella Elkins Madden. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Riddle Madden of the home; one daughter, Joann Chaffin of Warm Springs, Ark., two sons, Larry Madden of Tyronza and Gary Madden of Jackson, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Greg Chaffin, Deborah Kurfman, Cresta Kain and Chris Madden; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 2nd at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Lynn Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Cemetery in Harrisburg, Ark. Active pallbearers will be Mike Hood, David Hood, Billy Hood, Lloyd Allison, Alvin Allison, Larry Allison, Jerry Hainer and Olan Burch. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Bilyeu, Fred Bilyeu, Donald Gilley, Earl Sharp, Johnny Burch, Roland Smith, Harold McMasters and Dub Holt.
