Mr. Ernest Lester “Les” Boozer of Trumann, AR departed this life on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 6 days. He was born Wednesday, May 8, 1946 in Hughes, AR and lived in Trumann for 1 year and was formerly of Harrisburg, AR. He was a retired machinist and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Keren Poindexter; one sister, 3 brothers and his parents, Russell Andrew and Gracie Marie Smith Boozer. He is survived by his wife Ruby Jones Boozer of the home; one son, Kevin (Ashley) Boozer; one step-son, Rudy (Jamie) Ray, Jr; one step-daughter, Brandi Williams (Josh) Norris; and 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Celebration of life will be Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Robinson and Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Canoy, Jamie Batten, Carlton Boozer, Josh Norris, Eric Boozer and James Lally. Honorary pallbearers will be Lane Hamby, Brett Canoy, Louis Jones Sr., and the men at Shiloh Baptist Church. An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net

Uncle Lester reminded me of my late grandfather, his older brother Clerance and by saying that we know you all have suffered a great loss. Les will be missed by many people.
