Barbara McQuay
November 27, 1946 - July 17, 2019

Mrs. Barbara Fike McQuay of Bay, departed this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the family residence at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 20 days.  She was born in Jonesboro, AR to the late Charles Robert and Viola Lindsey Golden, lived in Bay and was formerly of Izard county.  She was retired from Arkansas Department of Health and was a member of Southside Apostolic Church in Jonesboro, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, James McQuay; six brothers; and her parents.        She is survived by three sons, Charles R. Mitchell and wife Leslie of Bay, Leslie Thad Fike and wife Candy of Beebe, AR and Allen Dale Fike and wife Amber of Beebe, AR, four sisters, Rose Ann Boyd of Harrisburg, Brenda Golden of Bay, Darlene Owens and husband John of Bay and Kay Abernathy and husband Bill of Cabot, AR and 3 grandchildren       Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor George Ezell officiating.  Burial will follow in Rutherford Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Active pallbearers will be Matthw Kain, Donald Kain, Wayne Boyd, Mark Golden, Allen Dale Fike, Austin Fike, Marshall Pace and Dionne Kain.        Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net

    Barbara was a great step-mom, and a very dear friend to me. I will always cherish the memories of the time we had. I loved her so much. I will always , always miss her. I take comfort in knowing that she is with the Lord now and I will see her again someday.
