Glenda Kay Short
April 8, 1951 - July 25, 2019

Mrs. Glenda Kay Short of Trumann departed this life on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 17 days.  Glenda was born Sunday, April 8, 1951 in Pangburn, AR and was a lifetime resident of Trumann.  She was a register nurse and a member of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph Roosevelt and Della Jane “Fuller” Gottfried, one brother, Charles Owen Gottfried and one sister, Reba May Gottfried.       She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Renee Carr (Joseph) of Westminster, Maryland and Jamie Dawn  (Christopher) George of Bay; three brothers, Amos Michael (Abbie) Gottfried of Kansas, Roy Edward (Patricia) Gottfried of Trumann, Herman Dean (Alice) Gottfried of MO; three sisters, Dorothy Ann Gottfried of Trumann, Martha Rae Cupp, and Veda Jane (Jakie) Stites of Newport, and  one grandchild, Christian Nathaniel George. The Family will receive friends on Saturday, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A celebration of her life will follow at 1:00 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Pallbearers will be Andrew Reeves, Christopher George, Jeff Stites, Junior Manley, Greg Wilson and Joey Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Staff of Arkansas Continued Care Hospital, Joseph Matthew Carr, Scotty Gottfried and Corey Gottfried.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
