Robert Mancel Tarver
January 21, 1928 - August 15, 2019

Mr. Robert Mancel Tarver of Trumann departed this life on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 25 days.  He was born Saturday, January 21, 1928 in Etowah, AR, and was a lifetime resident of Trumann.  Mr. Tarver was a retired farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea and a recipient of the Purple Heart and a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Gregg Tarver, one sister, Joy Lane, one brother, Emanuel Tarver and his parents, Clarence and Connie Martin Tarver.      He is survived by his wife, Colleen Norma Whitfield Tarver of the home, and one daughter, Benita Cantrell and husband Dennis of Trumann.       Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Walton officiating.  Graveside service will be Monday at 11 AM in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.        Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
