Derrell Ellis
February 4, 1949 - January 11, 2020

Mr. Derrell Lynn Ellis of Trumann, AR departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 7 days.  He was born Friday, February 4, 1949  in Trumann and lived in Michigan most of his life before moving back to Trumann in 2015.  He was  an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, retired mechanic, and of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Bonnie Coats Ellis.       He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Ellis of the home; one daughter, Elizabeth Ashley Grullon and husband Edwin of Brandon, FL; two step-sons, Michael Keenan of Wyoming, MI and James Allred of Hamilton, MI; one sister, Rebecca Corcoran of Michigan; and 4 grandchildren..        A Celebration of Life will be held June 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Cemetery near Marked Tree, Arkansas.                     An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
