Jewell D Huffmaster
August 12, 1925 - February 16, 2020

Mrs. Jewell Dean Owens Huffmaster of Trumann, AR departed this life on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, AR at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 4 days.  She was born Wednesday, August 12, 1925 in Alicia, AR to the late Rob and Ola Mae Willis Coin.         Ms. Jewell or sis as most people knew her was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.  Loved her family and church family very much.  Always found good in everyone.  A sweet, gentle and kind soul that now has her mansion in glory.  A member of Providence Baptist Church in Trumann.  She retired from Singer Mfg. and worked at Harlow’s Donut Shop for many years known as the chicken lady because of her fried chicken.      She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, J.B. Owens, second husband, Leo Huffmaster; three brothers, Robert Coin, Carl Coin and William Coin; one sister, Eugenia Owens; two sons, Gary Owens and Robert Owens; one daughter Mauldenia Owens; one grandson, Steven Heavener; and one great-great-grandson Steven James Heavener.      She is survived by one sister Imogene Minga; one brother, Wilmer Coin; one daughter, Susan Timbs; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her.        And now abide faith, hope, love these three, but the greatest of these is love.  I Cor. 13:13.  A special thank you for the girls on hall 5 at Woodbriar Nursing Home.        Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.      Pallbearers will be Clay Lansdell, Tyler Lansdell, Jordan Heavener, Eric Heavener, Ethan Heavener, and Preston Heavener.  Honorary pallbearer is Perry Heavener.                   An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net

    This is Jewel's youngest step daughter Ramona Diane Chambers, married to Bo Chambers. She was very happy when she married my dad. they were very happy together. She and I where very close. we never had not one cross word. She was a very sweet christian lady. I knew her very well. I wish myself and my family had been given the chance to go to her funeral. she will be missed. my husband and my children and myself will miss her until we meet again. We love you Jewel... I would never forget you in a million years.... may you rest in peace beautiful soul. we love you always.
