  2. The Davis Family, Trumann, Arkansas says

Gene was so nice and friendly and kind! He had such an uplifting personality and he was a hard worker. We will miss him. Wal-Mart will never be the same. May the Lord bless and comfort your hearts.

  3. Lynda Howard, Hickory Ridge says

Gene was an amazing and beautiful person. I remember when he used to collect donations to purchase as many turkeys to distribute to the families that lived in the projects at Trumann. He knew that those families might not have a Christmas dinner and he wanted to help those families that were less fortunate. He knew how those families felt because he lived that life. He passed out those turkeys with the excitement of a child unwrapping a Christmas gift, with a smile as big as the world. His light shined so bright and beautiful. He loved people and had a heavenly love for them, which is a very rare thing today. When I told him how amazing he was, he would humbly say, "sis, hun, anyone can do it, and should help others." He had a sweet smile on his face while he said it. Say hello to Heaven my brother. Until we meet again in Heaven I'll remember how precious you were to us. You were an Angel on Earth and you shined your light. I will miss you my sweet and kind brother. It was an honor to be your oldest sister.

  4. Lynda Howard, Hickory Ridge says

Gene was an amazing and beautiful person. I'm his older sister, Lynda. After reading what his friends wrote about him, it put a smile on my face. Gene truly was an amazing person. He used to distribute turkeys to families that lived in the projects in Trumann, and he'd smile the biggest smile doing it. He knew how that lifestyle was and he wanted to help those less fortunate and he enjoyed helping others. He would ask everyone to donate $1.00 to help fund the money to buy as many of those turkeys he could.

  5. Cheryl Norris, Trumann says

To the family I can say Gene is gonna be missed dearly. Today was a sad day. Knowing Gene wasn't coming into Bills at Marked tree. We all loved Gene. I have known Gene while he was working with Pepsi and onto moving to Coke. Just wasn't right not hearing those boots clicking across the floor. Gene you may be gone but your memories will live on. He loved church and most of all his family. He spoke highly of his family and God. Those silly jokes he would say. Test in peace my friend. You will never be forgotten Prayers for the family God bless

  6. Tammy Garner, Paragould says

I've known Gene for many years through Wal-Mart. He always came to work, with a silly joke, to make you smile. He was a Christian with great integrity and work ethic. When he wasn't talking about God he talked of his family. He loved them both with a tremendous love!!! I will miss hearing his boots click across my backroom.

  7. Kyle Poff, Trumann Arkansas says

I have worked with Gene the past year and half at Wal-Mart just about every day and what a incredible and amazing soul this man was. Never could you have met a kinder person. He would go out of his way to make you smile or laugh. I will truly miss hearing your boots click across the floor my friend. Godspeed brother I hope to see you again one day.
