Allison Renee Moon
February 17, 1974 - November 21, 2020

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of a beautiful soul. Allison Renee Wood Moon  of Trumann, died unexpectedly at her home Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 46 years, 9 months and 4 days. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maxine and Buddy Blake (Trumann) and Joe and Melba Wood (Trumann). She is survived by her husband, Brad Moon, sons Dylan Moon (Jonesboro) and Seth Moon (Trumann), parents Barry and Susie Wood (Trumann), sister Mandy McEwen and husband Matthew (Little Rock), sister Joy Wood (Cherokee Village), mother-in-law, Barbara Moon (Bay), sister-in-law Sonya Kemper and husband Scott (Hardy), 5 nieces Heather, Lauren, Peyton, Sydney, Brayden, and nephew Zach.       Allison was born Sunday, February 17, 1974 in Jonesboro and was raised and resided in Trumann. She married her husband, Brad, July 31, 1993. While attending Arkansas State University, Allison not only earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing, she also brought into this world the two things she was most proud of: her sons Dylan and Seth. Allison spent most of her life helping and caring for others, as a wife, mother, nurse and friend to many. For 25 years, she dedicated her life to caring for strangers. She helped bring new life into this world as a labor and delivery nurse but also held the hands of those leaving this world as a hospice nurse. Caring for others gave her so much happiness. She genuinely loved all her patients and treated them as though they were part of her family. She was excellent at what she did and was well respected for her hard work, dedication and compassion.  Allison was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She loved the Lord and was proud to be one of His children. She strived to be a better woman through His teachings. She often spoke fondly of her proudest adventure. As a missionary, she traveled to Malawi, Africa to help spread the Word and save people who were unknowing of our Lord and Savior. Visiting and seeing a different side of the world in which she was raised was life changing.        Allison loved the beach, any kind of music, the Cardinals, and her puppy, Teddy. She would sneak off to the beach when able and always had music blaring, singing at the top of her lungs. She watched every Cardinals’ game, even if it meant staying up way too late. Teddy was her partner in crime and her cuddles at the end of a hard day. She loved her friends dearly and was known to help whenever possible. The only love that superseded all others was her love for her family. Brad, Dylan, and Seth have always been her entire world, and there was not anything she wouldn’t do for them.       Allison had a genuine love for people and a tremendous heart. Her passion for life was unrelenting, and she will be deeply missed. In her honor, we ask that in lieu of flowers or visitation attendance, please take the opportunity to donate to the Trumann Food Bank, P.O. Box 1105, Trumann, AR, 72472 or the Arkansas Pet Savers (TAPS), 331 Hwy 463 North, Trumann, AR, 72472. These two local charities are quite deserving and in great need of help. Both of which, Allison had a great love for.       A graveside celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday at 2pm at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating.       Arrangements will be directed by Thompson Funeral Home. According to current CDC Covid-19 guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing practiced.       Please take any and every opportunity during your day to keep Allison’s life’s work and generosity alive by being kind and empathetic to one another.         An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome,net

Allison, I will always remember you and I going through school together. From elementary as boy friend girl friend up to JR. High and Sr. High band. I always seen like the French Horns were always in front of the Trombones so I am certain I harassed you more than once. ????. I know you cared for many throughout your nursing career and I’m sure your bed side manner was nothing less than stellar. I want you to know that I will continue to lift your parents, husband and kiddos up in prayer. I love this entire family and I know they will miss you more than you will know. Give those grandparents a hug up their in heaven and keep me a place for the day that I get to go home. Love you always!
