Georgia Bailey
March 14, 1940 - December 6, 2020

Mrs. Georgia Howard Bailey of Trumann passed away Sunday December 6, 2020 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 80 years, 8 months, and 22 days..  She was born Thursday, March 14, 1940 in and a lifetime resident of Trumann.  Georgia worked at First National Bank in Trumann for 40 years and was instrumental in starting Delta Bank in Trumann. Georgia was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church in Trumann.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Irene Barker Howard.         She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald Bailey of the home;  one son, Alan (Pam) Bailey and one daughter, Dee (Tim) Collins all of Trumann; one sister, Emma Jean (Bob) Evans of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Levi Bailey, Brooke Bailey, Clayton Collins, Benjamin Collins, and Kyle Collins.         Graveside service will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bill Maxwell and Aaron Maxwell officiating.   Burial will follow at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in  Harrisburg, AR under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.               Honorary pallbearers will be Gary May, Danny Hooker, Bob Jones and Eddie Mars.       In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form.       In lieu of flowers please make lasting memorials to Central Missionary Baptist Church, 610 W Speedway, Trumann, AR 72472 or St. Jude Children’s Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
