Roy Gene Whitehead
April 18, 1944 - December 16, 2020

Roy Gene Whitehead was born on Tuesday, April 18, 1944 in Mountain Home, AR.  Passed away at home on December 16, 2020 at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 28 days.  Mr. Whitehead was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Jessie (Ritter) Whitehead, brothers, Leon Whitehead and Marvin Whitehead; sisters, Faye Singley and Patsy Thomas; daughter, Sondra Stotts Ader and wife of 54 years, Elizabeth (Marion) Whitehead.      Survivors included his son, Jimmy Dean (Kathy) Stotts of Trumann; daughter, Dr. Sara (Blake) Culbreath of Jonesboro; sister, Carolyn Ferguson; 6 grandchildren, Adam Stotts, Johnathan (Stephanie) Stotts, Christian Culbreath, Kailyn Lamberson (Corey Locke), Callie (Neiko) Rawlings and Cainan Culbreath; and great-grandchildren, Alma Joyce Stotts, Hollis Batton Stotts and Gunnar Hayes Rawlings and a host of family and friends..     Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Trumann.  A Celebration of life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ricky Dobbins officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.       Pallbearers will be Blake Culbreath, Cainan Culbreath, Corey Locke, Johnathan Stotts, Neiko Rawlings, and Wade Lamberson.       Roy was a retired over the road truck driver.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and member and office of the Nettleton Masonic Lodge #657.  Marion was the love of his life and his guitar and music were his passion.         In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form will be required.
