Gary Wayne Clayton

Mr. Gary Wayne Clayton of Trumann departed this life on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 41 years, 7 months, and 24 days.  He was born Friday, May 16, 1980 in Jonesboro, AR and had lived his lifetime in Trumann, AR.  He was disabled and was a member of  Salvation Ministries. Mr. Clayton was a 1999 graduate of Trumann High School, loved NASCAR racing  and collecting baseball cards. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lincoln Clayton and father Ricky M. Clayton; maternal grandparents, James and Juanita Timbs;  paternal grandparents, Richard and Jeanette Clayton.       Survivors include his mother Patty Lancaster of Trumann; brother, Richard Clayton of Trumann; his nephew, Noah Clayton and several aunts, uncles and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark. A celebration of life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Derick Followell  officiating.  Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.       Pallbearers will be Justin Davis, Tim Short, Nicky Weatherford, Harley Timbs, Matt Vericker and Noah Clayton In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, face masks or other facial covering and social distancing will be recommended.       An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
