Erma Jean Bloodworth
May 20, 1943 - May 12, 2022

Erma Jean Massey Bloodworth, departed this life Thursday, May 12, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 78 years 11 months and 22 days.  She was born on Thursday, May 20, 1943 in Lunsford, AR to the late Russell S. and Iva Dell Morrison Massey.  Mrs. Bloodworth was a former employee of the Singer Company in Trumann, was the activities director for Skill Care Nursing Center in Jonesboro, AR and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brown Bloodworth; two sisters, Evelyn Snow and Willodean Hanshaw; three brothers,  Leon Massey, Billy Massey and Donald Massey and her parents.      She is survived by one sister, Irene Grady of Phoenix, AZ; and one brother, Ronald (Kay) Massey of  Jonesboro and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  Celebration of life will follow in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. John Maley officiating.   Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.        In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be sent to Trumann First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 575, Trumann, AR 72472.      In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional and social distancing will be observed.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
