Benita Cantrell
September 5, 1961 - May 18, 2022

Mrs. Benita Gay Tarver Cantrell of Trumann passed away Wednesday May 18, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 13 days.  She was born Tuesday, September 5, 1961 in Trumann, AR where she was a lifetime resident.  She loved farming along with gardening, fishing, hunting turkeys, ducks and deer. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by one brother, and her father, Mancel Tarver.                           She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Dennis Cantrell of the home; and her mother, Colleen Whitfield Tarver.            The family will receive friends Saturday May 21, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Corners Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway, AR.   A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan and Rev. Glenn Hurst officiating.  Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.       Pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class.         Please consider sending lasting memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, 848 Adams Ave, Memphis, TN  38103.        In compliance with Covid-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional and social distancing will be observed.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
