Sandy Louise Austin, 52, of Trumann departed this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born in West Memphis, Ark., to Robert Earl and Alice Carolyn Carr Austin and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a jailer and despatcher for Poinsett County, an E.M.T. and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one son, Scott Massey of Vilonia, Ark.; father, Robert Earl Austin of Vilonia, Ark.; mother, Alice Carolyn Carr Austin of Lake City, Ark.; one brother Danny Austin of Trumann two grandchildren, Credence and Celeste Massy; No services are planned at this time.     Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net

    My sincerest sympathies goes out to the family. I was blessed enough to have spent some time with her and she felt so strongly about her family, like a mama bear protecting her cubs ready to pounce at the first sign of danger for her son and grandchildren. RIP Sandy, Ive know you for a very long time and seen the good, the bad, and the ugly but no matter which it was strong love always resided in you. Love ya sista you'll be missed here.
