  1. Terry Briggman, Camano Island Wa says

Greg was a good friend. We both were in Boy Scouts under Doc Walker. We had great times working with Scouts at Camp Cedar Valley. I'll always remember how he loved Jimmy Buffet songs. I'll remember him every time I play one on my guitar. R.I.P. my friend.

  2. John Sifford, Jonesboro Arkansas says

I knew Greg (and Biff) from Boy Scout Camp Pine Trail Reservation near Viola Arkansas. He was definitely a cut up but seemed like a fun guy to hang out with. I never saw him after we were both on Staff but, I always heard bits about him in Key West and calling himself Biggie Rat... Rest in Peace my friend!

  3. Brian Dudley, Jonesboro, Ar. says

I am saddened to hear about the loss of my old friend from many years ago. I wish our paths had crossed so we could have chewed the fat about old times past. What a free spirit he was even back in high school, and to our whole graduating class of 1982. We spend many years together camping and ruffing it in the boy scouts with ole doc walker. My thoughts and prayers are with you Linda, and Jeff.

  6. Jeannie Cossey, Englewood, Co. says

My deepest condolences to Greg's family. I was in Trumann last summer and was able to talk to Greg, he had just recently moved back to Arkansas. I had not seen him in many years. I actually had the pleasure of running in to him twice. One of those being at the pharmacy his mother was working at. We talked about the time she brought a welding helmet to our classroom (5th grade I think) so each student was able to see the sun eclipse. That memory of Greg and his mother has always stayed with me all these years. RIP my friend. You'll always be often thought of by many. Jeannie Cossey

  7. Ben Payne, Mobile, AL says

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Greg was a real classic. He will be missed. This may not be the appropriate venue but I have to tell a story. When we were in high school Greg formed a band and they played an assembly.During the show he broke into a killer version of "The Jack" by AC/DC and as I remember the whole thing got shut down by the authorities about half way through. It gets my vote as the coolest rock and roll moment in Trumann High School history.Rest in peace my friend..

Biggy was our dive instructor and was the reason we fell in love with diving. We vacationed together in Roatan, Honduras, diving twice a day and Biggy certified us for our advanced open water because he "wanted HIS name on our certification cards." We still do. We visited him in the Keys twice a year and he became family to us. His prescensce will be greatly missed and friendship cherished forever. He loved his family and friends. This we know. We both just wish we could have shared one more memory with him, embraced him with just one more hug and kiss on the cheek. He was one of our absolute dearest friends and we miss terribly. All our love,Jamie Lucas and Rich Benda
