Jerrie Sue Qualls
May 9, 1943 - February 1, 2023

Jerrie Sue Qualls of New Milford, Illinois passed away in her home on January 12, 2023, with family by her side at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 3 days.  She was born Sunday, May 9, 1943, in Trumann, Arkansas, the daughter of Hiram and Esther (Metcalf) Slinkard.  She graduated from Trumann High School in May of 1961 and married the love of her life, Dwayne Qualls on July 7, 1961.  Jerrie was of the Methodist faith.  Her family was always her priority, and she was very proud of them and taking care of her home.  She enjoyed visiting family and friends and playing “the one-armed bandit” (slot machine) as her form of entertainment.  She will be missed greatly by her family.       Survivors include her husband, Dwayne; son Coty (Dora) Qualls and daughter Casey (Ron Maloney) Boxall; grandchildren Samantha Qualls and Coty Qualls, Jr., siblings Howard (Karen) Slinkard, Judy Dunman, and Nancy (Donnie) England; and several nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased  by her parents, siblings Virginia Evans, Harold Slinkard, Lawanda Murphy, and Robert Slinkard.       The family will meet and greet friends and family Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 at Thompson Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 with Rev.
