Bill Biggers
May 5, 1945 - April 4, 2023

William “Bill” Thomas Biggers, of Trumann passed from this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at his home with his wife and daughter by his side at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 30 days.  He was born to Cordie and Edna Earl Biggers on May 5, 1945, in Newport, Arkansas and raised in Tuckerman. Bill graduated from Tuckerman High School and one of his proudest achievements was receiving the American Future Farmers of America Degree at the national convention in 1962. He attended Arkansas State University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in agriculture with a minor in accounting and was a member of Sigma Pi.       Bill was the perfect gentleman, always putting his wife Peggy first. They were married 22 years and complimented each other perfectly. He adored his daughter Sallie Lou and was a wonderful father. A soft spoken, calm man, he was very easy to talk with and a friend to many. Even though he grew up farming, he had a long career as a Certified Public Accountant and loved working with numbers just as much as he did chatting with his clients.       He always enjoyed going to the farm and spent his life ensuring his parents would be proud of their land’s prosperity. Bill’s 1975 Corvette was another love of his and his dream was to one day reassemble his father’s 1964 Chevy pickup truck.  While he lived in Trumann for almost four decades, his hometown of Tuckerman was always an important part of his life, and he was an officer for Trails to Tuckerman. He loved history and was a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, proud that he could trace his family lineage to one of America’s earliest patriots.       Bill is survived by his loving wife Peggy Biggers; daughter Sallie Lou (Nick) Zazal of Fayetteville and children by marriage Autumn (Wes) Osment and Mickey (Keechia) Muse, both of Trumann; and five grandchildren, Anya Zazal, Jack Zazal, Drew Osment, Dalaney Osment and Luke Muse.      The family will receive visitors at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann from 4-6 pm Thursday, April 6, 2023. A celebration of life will follow at 6 with Rev. John Maley officiating. Interment will occur on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. April 7, 2023, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Tuckerman, AR.       Active pallbearers are James Young, Ronald Young, Tommy Young, John Conner, Jr., Eugene Zuber, Wes Osment, Nick Zazal and Mickey Muse.  Honorary pallbearers include Jack Zazal, Luke Muse, Drew Osment, Josh Bradley.       Online guest book can be signed  at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
