Carolyn "Rosie" Rose McElyea
November 24, 1940 - April 7, 2023

Carolyn Rose "Rosie"  McElyea of Trumann, AR departed this life Friday, April 7th, at the family residence surrounded by family at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 14 days. She fought hard with cancer and showed strength, faith and grace through it all. She was born November 24, 1940 in Senath, Missouri to the late Archie and Imogene Ragsdale Lancaster. She was married September 2, 1958 to the late Frank McElyea. She was a former employee of Parker Hannifin in Trumann and a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann. She loved going to church, shopping, decorating and eating out with the family. She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister Patsy Lancaster; one brother, Kenneth Lancaster and her parents.      She is survived by one daughter Karen Greg) Wallace and one son Keith (Donna) McElyea both of Trumann; one sister, Marion Lancaster of Trumann; one brother, Tony Lancaster of Trumann; four grandchildren, Crystal Creecy, Tiffany Sullivan, Terra (Kendrick) Calloway and Jessie Floyd; fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.       The family will receive friends Monday, April 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, April 11th at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Pentecostal Church with Bro. Ricky Forbis  officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg, AR., under the care of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Pallbearers will be Darrell Rains, Jon Forbis, Mike Freeman, Ralph Kain, Buck Raney, Daniel Herod and John Dalton Herod.      In compliance with Covid-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional.         An online register book can be signed at www. thompsonfuneralhome.net
