Wanza Fritz
August 17, 1940 - June 8, 2023

Wanza Geneva Fritz of Trumann departed this life Thursday, June 8, 2023 in Wynne, AR at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 22 days. She was born Saturday, August 17, 1940 in Black Oak, AR to the late Press and Hazel Ingle McCorkle and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. Wanza enjoyed making her famous date rolls at Christmas and listening to Daniel O’Donnell and going to Branson to his concert and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Pat Daniels, Brenda Smith, and Martha Bales; one brother, Lester McCorkle; son-in-law, Michael Taber and her parents.       She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles Lee Fritz of the home; two daughters, Deborah (Chad) Austin of Heafer, AR and Sherry (Philander) Smith of Wynne; one sister, Joyce Wilson of Black Oak; two brothers, Larry McCorkle of Melbourn, AR and Ronald McCorkle of Crawfordsville, AR; three grandchildren, Timothy David Taber, Seth Austin and Logan Austin; and one great-grandchild, Tydus Wayne Taber.       The family will receive friends Monday, June 12th from 12:00  -  1:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of life will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home.
