Melaina J Mclaughlin
June 19, 1992 - March 2, 2024

Melaina Josette McLaughlin, 31, of Trumann, AR, was born June 19, 1992 at 12:34 p.m. in Blytheville, AR and sadly passed away Saturday, March 2nd at 5:15 p.m. at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR from her battle of Crohns.       Melaina is survived by her parents, Joey and Crystal McLaughlin of Trumann; her mother, Amy Ahne of Blytheville, AR; her grandparents, Betsy and Curtis Stephens of Blytheville, AR, Pamela Ragan of Trumann, AR; one daughter, Heaven McLaughlin of Newellton, LA, her older sister, Miranda and husband Randy Rocha, Sr., along with her nephews Randy Jr., and Randon Rocha, of Blytheville, AR, her little sister, Marissa and husband Antonio Rocha along with one nephew, AJ Rocha of Blytheville, her little brothers Jordan McLaughlin of Newellton, LA and Blake McLaughlin of Trumann, AR.  As well as many aunts, uncles, family and friends. Melaina is preceded by her papa “Ham” Earnest McLaughlin, grandmother, Linda Ahne and grandpa, Henry Ragan.         Melaina was a beautiful soul that loved to write poetry, draw, and write her daily journey of life down.  She loved seeing and spending time with her family every chance she had and filled the room with so much joy and laughs, which brightened everyones day,  Melaina was also known as “Lou” a nickname that her daddy came up with since she was a baby but most knew her as Laina.  Melaina didn’t lose this battle!  Melaina WON because at the end of the day she wanted to go home and that’s where she made it!      “I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.  I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too.  I think of you in silence, I often speak your name,  All I have are memories and your picture in a frame,  Your memory is a keepsake from which I’ll never part.  God has you in his arms, I have you in my heart.”      An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
