Gayle Ann Simpson
June 22, 1950 - March 23, 2024

Gayle A. Simpson, of Bay, AR departed this life Saturday, March 23rd at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 1 day.  She was born June 22, 1950 to the late Irvy Andrew Rusher and Ellen Lucille Walters Whitaker. Gayle operated the Gee Street Antique Mall for several years and loved to flower garden. She is preceded in death by her husband, A. Gale Simpson; daughter, Sandra Brokaw; her parents; step-father, Isac “Garvin” Whitaker; two brothers, Rondal Lee Rusher, LaVaughn Rusher; and grandson, Brian Simpson.            She is survived by three sons, Darrell Keith Simpson, Terry Gene Simpson both of Bay, AR, Jerry (Cindy) Lynn Simpson of Jonesboro, AR; two brothers Fred Rusher of Jonesboro, AR, Bobby Rusher of Herget, AR; two sisters, Sharon Whitaker, Shirley Long, both of Bay, AR; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.      A Celebration of Life  wil be Saturday, April 6th from 2  -  6 at Bay Community Center in Bay, AR.      An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
