Patsy Sue Branum
April 16, 1940 - May 18, 2024

Patsy Sue Hopkins Branum of Trumann, departed this life on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the family residence in Trumann at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 2 days. She was born and had live most of her lifetime in Trumann and was formerly of Marked Tree. She was a retired employee of American Greeting Company and a member of First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed a good cup of coffee and visiting with family and friends, along with raising her garden and canning her harvest. Patsy’s beloved cat Tiger kept her much company.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard R. Branum, one sister, Betty Passmore, one brother, Virgil Hopkins and her parents, Pete and Claudia Shoopman Hopkins. She is survived by one daughter, Patti (Gerald) McWayne of Trumann and two grandchildren; Michael (Courtney) McWayne of Trumann and Megan (Jeremy) Mitchell of Trumann. Two Great-Grandchildren; Mackie McWayne and Mollie McWayne.       The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 2lst from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will be Wednesday, May 22nd, at 1:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Trumann with Dr. John Maley officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.       Pallbearers will be Mike Mabe, Jeremy Mitchell, Danny Smith, Jace Passmore, Brandon Shrader, Randy Passmore and D.J. Walters.  Honorary will be Gerald McWayne, James Nelson and Larry Neal.       For lasting memorials consider First Baptist Church, P.O.     I am so sorry to hear about Patsy. I have lots of memories of her for the short time I worked at Salant and salant in Marked Tree. We all car pooled from Trumann. Sweet memories.
