William Humphrey Gillett
August 21, 1949 - December 23, 2018

Mr. William Gillett, 69, departed this life Sunday, December 23, 2018 in Houston, TX. He was born Sunday, August 21, 1949 in Kokestad, South Africa to Gizella Szeyffert and Rev. Thomas Leonard Gillett, whose greatest desire was to prepare and be prepared for the Kingdom of God. On September 3, 1983, he married Lisa Wallace in Missouri City, Texas. He lived in Fulshear, TX for the past 38 years. Humphrey was the owner and principle investigator for Equine Laboratories. He was a member of the ACS, TTA, and received numerous awards for his dedication and professional services. He also assisted the U.S. Air Force and NASA in research on aircraft bird strikes. Humphrey was full of energy and always saw the best in everyone he knew. He filled his life with family, friends, traveling, gardening and fishing. He was especially known for his infectious smile, along with his kind and compassionate spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Thomas Leonard Gillett and Gizella Szeyffert Gillett

He is survived by his loving wife Lisa L. Gillett of the home; his son, James Allen Dozier of Katy, TX; one sister, Susan Gillett of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; one brother, Tom Gillett of Dallas, TX; and his father-in-law, James R.
