Barbara Ann Jones

Barbara Ann Secrease Jones of Batesville departed this life Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Springs of Batesville at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 11 days.  She was born Monday, April 8, 1946 in Trumann and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann before moving to Batesville 15 years ago.  She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.   Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by one son, Scott Straver, two brothers, Frank and Thomas Secrease, one nephew, Carl Long and was the daughter of the late William Harvey (Bill) Secrease and Edna Marie Haslett Secrease.       She is survived by husband of 15 years Frank Jones of the home. Two daughters, Shellie (Rodney) Langley of Thayer, MO., and Renee (Jamie) Prince of Harrisburg. Two step-sons, Tony Jones and Ronnie Jones both of Batesville, two sisters, Hazel Willey of Batesville, and Kathy Lunn of Salem.  One brother, Billy Beard of Strawberry. 9 grandchildren Dillon (Kelsey) Smith, Jerod (Craig) Monette, Ciara (Jeff) Gray, Seana Smith, Grayce Moore, Jaxon Moore, Jarret (Haley) Prince, Zyman Langley and Zerek Langley and 7 Great-grandchildren. One niece Gina (Bob) Tucker and one nephew, Jeff Long.       The family will receive friends on Wednesday Sept. 25th from 12:30 to 1:30 at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 1:30 in the chapel with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.       Pallbearers will be Dillon Smith, Jerod Monette, Ian Straver, Jeff Gray, Michael Secrease and Dan Neal.       Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net

    I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Barbara Ann, my dear cousin! This was a double sadness for me because she passed on what would have been Mom's birthday!
