Bernice Francis Vaden  of Trumann, AR departed this life Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House of Jonesboro, AR at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 14 days. She was born September 12, 1943 in Bay, AR  to the late Wilburn Gib and Francis Juanita Hester Pagan. She attended The Rock of NEA church and was the cook at Al’s for over 20 years. She loved spending time with grandkids.  She was preceded in death by her parents.       She is survived by two daughters, Casandra Vaden of Jonesboro, Retired SMSGT Mickie Vaden of Medford, New York; three brothers, Bill Pagan of Calamine, AR, James (Muriel) Pagan of Gulfport, MS, Randy Pagan of Trumann, AR; a sister, Kay (Mike) Minton of Bono and two grandchildren, Jordan and Sierra Casey.       The family will receive friends Monday, December 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 with Pastor Jeff Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.      Pallbearers are: Lamar Smith, Aaron Smith, Steve Hubbard , Jason Pagan, Devin Pagan and Patrick Pagan. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House of Jonesboro, AR.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
