Bobby McPherson
May 23, 1940 - January 29, 2025

Bobby Wayne McPherson 84, of Trumann passed away at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House on January 29, 2025.   He was born on Thursday, May 23, 1940 in Bay to Gene and Hazel Hammonds McPherson and had lived his lifetime in the Trumann area. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Trumann.  He loved hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and his church family and grandkids. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents;  three sisters, Lindy Norton, Pat Stevens, Peggy Schubert and grandson Taylor Wayne McPherson. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice McPherson of the home; two daughters, Terri Whitlock, Dana Wood, both of Trumann; son Greg McPherson of Jonesboro; sister, Brenda Hansborough of Tyronza; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.       The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2nd  at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ricky Dobbins officiating. A committal service will be Monday, February 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.    Pallbearers are: Lynne Hetler, Greg Hogg, Shawn Blanchard, Roger Haynes, Archie Cooper and Chuckie Fisher.
