Bobby McPherson
May 23, 1940 - January 29, 2025

Bobby Wayne McPherson of Trumann passed away at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House on January 29, 2025 at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 6 days.  He was born on Thursday, May 23, 1940 in Bay to Gene and Hazel Hammonds McPherson and had lived his lifetime in the Trumann area. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Trumann.  He loved hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and his church family and grandkids. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents;  three sisters, Lindy Norton, Pat Stevens, Peggy Schubert and grandson Taylor Wayne McPherson. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice McPherson of the home; two daughters, Terri Whitlock, Dana Wood, both of Trumann; son Greg McPherson of Jonesboro; sister, Brenda Hansborough of Tyronza; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.       The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2nd  at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ricky Dobbins officiating. A committal service will be Monday, February 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.    Pallbearers are: Lynne Hetler, Greg Hogg, Shawn Blanchard, Roger Haynes, Archie Cooper and Chuckie Fisher. Honorary pallbearers are: Billy Wood and the men of Calvary Baptist Church. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
