Louise Violet McCain of Trumann, departed this life Thursday, May 15, 2025  in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 96 years, 3 months and 1 day. She was born Thursday, February 14, 1929 in Etowah, AR to the late Noah and Lora Ezell Clayton and lived in Trumann for 28 years and was formerly of Paragould. Louise helped Marvin on the farm and was a member of First Baptist Church in Trumann. She was talented in dog breeding, a master gardener and a great painter.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Marvin McCain; her parents; one sister, Sherlotta Clayton and three brothers, Earl Clayton, Jurl Clayton and Murl Clayton.       She is survived by one son, one grandson, three great grandchildren  and one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a wealth of lifelong friends.      Visitation will be Saturday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. John Maley officiating.  Burial will be private at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.     Honorary pallbearers are: Roger Jones, Oliver Hinds, Nick Clayton, Harold Mitchusson, Bob McCaa and Steve Bennett.      Lasting memorials can be sent to St. Jude’s Children Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105      An online registry book can be signed at thompsonfuneralhome.net.
