Patricia Powell departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 82. Born on October 11, 1943, in Trumann, Arkansas, to Neely Green and Hazel Davis, Patricia spent her life rooted in the community she loved. A lifelong resident of Trumann and of the Baptist faith, she faithfully served her city for many years as an assistant to the Mayor, where her dedication and spirit left a lasting mark. Patricia was a woman full of life-vivacious, joyful, and always ready for a laugh. She was an avid reader and a frequent, familiar presence at the Trumann Public Library. A wonderful cook, she was happiest when gathered around the kitchen table, sharing stories and laughter with family. Patricia also loved to dance (some would say she perfected the Arkansas Twist), never missing a chance to bring energy and fun into any room. A true animal lover, she had a soft heart for every stray and never let one go unfed. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Powell, and her daughter, Tina Franks. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kelley Falls; her grandchildren, Zachary O’Brien, Dillon O’Brien, Savannah O’Brien, BriAnna Hanna, Kera Kent, Katelyn Hankins, Amber Liles, Hunter Kent, and Falon Falls; along with 15 great-grandchildren who bought her endless joy. Patricia will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.
