Lola Florence Jones
March 3, 1942 - January 23, 2026

Lola Florence (Orsborne) Jones entered eternity Friday, January 23, 2026 at the age of 83 years 10 months and 20 days. She was born March 3, 1942 to Charles Morton and Bessie Orsborne in Kings Creek, Ohio.  She was the oldest daughter of ten children and was lovingly referred to as “Sis” by her siblings and their families.  She was a true farmer’s wife.  She kept things going at home, raising three sons, running errands, and preparing meals for the workers and anyone else who might stop by.  She did all of this while still working on the farm.  One of her biggest joys was taking care of children, many of which still call her MawMaw (MaMaw).      Lola loved people and they knew it.  Before you walked away or hung up the phone, she always said “I love you”.  It was so natural to her, she probably told her doctors and nurses and the UPS guy the same thing.  If you lived on Pineview Road, you more than likely got a peanut butter pie at Christmas.      Some might call her a hoarder because she kept everything.  If you sent her a card or a note, she kept it.  She has boxes full of letters, magazine articles, cards, and newspaper clippings.  If you’ve ever been in the news and she saw it, you are tucked away somewhere in a box in the garage.      She was a faithful member of First General Baptist Church of Trumann and the Heaven Bound Sunday School class.  She didn’t get to attend class much the last couple of years, but they were some of her closest friends.      She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, C.A., whom she missed very much, four brothers, James Orsborne, Virgil Orsborne, and Earl Orsborne of Ohio and Roy Orsborne of Bay, Arkansas, one sister Kathlene Congrove of Ohio, and one great grand-daughter Ellington Paige DeBoard of Florida.      She is survived by three sons, Rusty (Theresa) Jones of Harrisburg Central, Jeff (Kathy) Jones, of Harrisburg Central, Jimmy Jones of Trumann, nine grandchildren, Shanean (Travis) Ridgley  of Florida, Lindsay (Daniel) Miller of Trumann, Tiffany (Will) DeBoard of Florida, Duston (Amber) Jones of Jonesboro, Chad (Kelsey) Jones of Fayetteville, Wade Jones of Trumann, Johnna (Jason) Vaulner of Harrisburg, Jennifer Sproling of Jonesboro, Andy (Destiny) Lunsford of Florida, one brother, Merle (Stephanie) Orsborne of Ohio, three sisters, Thelma Denlinger of Michigan, Ruth Walters of Ohio and Teresa Decker of Ohio, thirteen great grandchildren + one, and many other family and friends.      The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 28th at 12:00 p.m. at Thompson’s Funeral Home, 220 Viva Drive, Trumann, AR.  A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Darrel Miller officiating.  Due to inclement weather, a private burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, Jonesboro, AR.      Pallbearers are grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers are the granddaughters and granddaughters-in-law.      In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ellie’s Impact @elliesimpact.com or First General Baptist Church of Trumann.      An on-line register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
