Jimmy Dale Bishop of Trumann departed this life on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 69 years and 27 days. He was born Friday, January 11, 1957 in Trumann to the late W.C. and Helen Odell Wiley Bishop and lived his lifetime in Trumann. Jimmy was a mechanic for John Deere and was a member of Assembly of God of Monette. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Bishop; one brother, Jerry Wayne Bishop, one great-granddaughter, Araya Lopez and his parents. He is survived by two daughters, Misty Canizales, and Tamera (Arthur) Jones both of Trumann; one brother, Larry Wayne Bishop of Trumann; significant other, Sarah Platz; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. officiating. Burial will be private.
