Mrs. Susan Hendrix Thompson of Colt, Ark., died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark., at the age of 53 years, 11 months and 23 days. She was born Wednesday, October 5, 1960 in Jonesboro, Ark., and had lived in Colt for the past ten years and was formerly of Trumann and Jonesboro. She was a retired secretary and a member of Smith Chapel Baptist Church in Colt, Ark. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by one brother, Charles B. Hendrix, Jr. and her father, Charles Buford Hendrix, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Ron Thompson of the home; two daughters, Bailee Elizabeth (Jesse) Forrester of Norfolk, VA., and Brianna Emily Thompson of Colt Ark., her mother Mrs. Kathryn Hendrix of Jonesboro, one sister, Kathy Hendrix Gott of Jonesboro, Ark., one brother, Robert (Teresa) Hendrix of Trumann, sister-in-law, Carolyn Hendrix of Trumann and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Ricky Dobbins and Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Ellisville Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
