Mr. Carl Joe "Jody" Sims

Mr. Carl Joe “Jody” Sims of Trumann died January 29, 2014 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 58 years and 9 days. He was born Friday, January 20, 1956 in Tuckerman, Ark. and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Mr. Sims was a factory worker and of the pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyce A. “Bud” and Sue Brooks Sims. Survivors include three sisters, Sandra Wallace of Trumann, Debra (Richard) Ulrich of Watauga, TX and Karen Sue (Raymond) Hill of Trumann; two brothers, Kenny Sims of Trumann and Robin Sims of Watauga, TX and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Tommy Jordan, Sr. and Rev. Paul Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark. Pallbearers will be Brock Hill, Ray Hill, Jessie Hill, Adam Gosa, Kelly Moss, Shawn Collier, Dustin Sims, Wesley Hill and Seth Reed.
