Mrs. Era Evelyn Vickers
March 14, 1939 - October 1, 2010

Mrs. Era Evelyn (Hall) Vickers was born on Tuesday, March 14, 1939, daughter of O.D. and Lettie Ann Hatley Hall. Mrs. Vickers died Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Peter Villa in Memphis, Tenn., at the age of 71 years 6 months and 17 days. She was born in Golden, Miss., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a disabled veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force, member of the D.A.V., honor graduate of Wardell High School in Wardell, Mo., and a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. Mrs. Vickers was preceded in death by one brother, James Hall and her mother, Lettie Morley. Survivors include one daughter, Vivian Manley and husband Junior of Trumann; her father, Otis Denver Hall of Trumann; one brother, Jimmy (Ida) Hall of Sommerville, Tenn.; three sisters, Linda (Bill) Floyd and Carol (Bobby) Benson both of Trumann and Beck Hall of Bartlett, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Natasha Crow, Melissa Crow, Christopher Manley and Coty Manley and four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Self, Carter Robertson, Joyce Byron and Allura Manley. Funeral service will be Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Dr. Jim Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Coty Manley, Joey Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Greg Wilson, Bart Benson and Christopher Manley. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Floyd and Bobby Benson Sr. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
