Judge Henry Samuel Wilson
February 1, 1920 - September 18, 2010

Judge Henry Samuel Wilson was born in Conway, on February 1, 1920, the son of the late Jack and Grace wilson. Judge wilson died Sept. 18, 2010 at the age of 90 after a long battle with cancer. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jonesboro. A graduate of Blytheville High School, Henry obtained his pre-law education from University of Wyoming. He graduated from the Vanderbilt School of Law in 1951 and went into private practice with the firm of Reeves and Smith in West Memphis. In 1958 he moved his private practice to Trumann and continued in private practice until 1973 when he was appointed to fill the remainder of the term of Circuit Judge Charles Light of Paragould. At the end of that term he was elected to the Second Chancery Circuit traveling to Crittenden, Miss., Poinsett, Craighead, Clay, Green and Cross counties to hold court. He served as chancellor for 11 years until his retirement in 1986. Retirement was cut short when he agreed to complete the unexpired term of Trumann

    I will never forget Henry ande all the help he waas for my family. My father,Marlin Adams, thought the world of Henry aned I had the utmost respect for him and Carlene. They never forgot Shelby's birthday and would bring peanut brittle that they made over to our house with a card. aI loved him and will never forget him. Rest in Peace and give daddy a hug from us and tell him we are all fine, We respected adn loved you Henry.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Judge Henry when i first had my wreck in 1984 i was so scared and he really helped me out. I will never forget that it was just a small wreck but i was at fault but i did not have to pay any fines. I love him and will miss him my dad Jimmy Williams was a police when Judge Henry was the Judge and we our so sorry for you loss he was truly an angel....
