Mrs. Virginia Payne, 89, of Lapeer, MI, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at the Lapeer County Medical Care Facility in Lapeer, Mich. She was born in Harrisburg, Ark., and was formerly of Auburn Heights, MI and Jonesboro, Ark. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed life to the fullest. She worked many years as the manager of the Restaurant/Fountain at the Kresge Store on Huron and Saginaw in Pontiac. Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her husband; Alfred Paul

    To all of Virginia's family,our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. "Uncle Bud" Payne was my Mom's cousin, and both Virginia and Bud were wonderful people. I remember Virginia as a dear, sweet lady and she will surely be missed by everyone who knew her.Carolyn and David Davis
