Corbet A Adams, Jr.
October 18, 1925 - January 25, 2010

Mr. Corbet A Adams, Jr., 84, of Cabot, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at St. Vincents North in Sherwood, Ark. He was born in Lake City and had lived in Cabot for the past 9 years and was formerly of Powhatan, Holland, Mich., and Trumann. He was a retired tool and die maker, veteran of the U.S. Navy and World War II, and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his first wife, Dora Lee Adams in 1999, and second wife, Anna Lou Adams in 2007, three brothers and his parents, Corbet A Adams, Sr., and Opal Cooper Adams. Survivors include one son, Corbet A Adams III of Memphis; four daughters, Patricia Rietveld and Donna Van Huis both of Holland, MI., Sandra Adams of Cabot and Debra Whitaker of Paragould; one step-daughter, Shirley Moerbe of Vernon, Tex.; one sister, Lucille Puryear of Trumann; one brother, Donald Adams of Jackson, Tenn.; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Private burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park in Jonesboro, AR. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
