John "Jake" McSparin
January 27, 1922 - December 25, 2009

TRUMANN - Mr. John McSparin, Jr., 87 of Trumann died at the family residence. He was born in Lunsford, Ark. And had lived in Trumann for the past 10 years coming from New Madrid, Mo. He was a general laborer, veteran of the U.S. Army and World War II and of the Baptist faith. Mr. McSparin was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and his parents John McSparin, Sr., and Agnes Hoots Denton McSparin. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Holly Springs Cemetery in Harrisburg, Ark., with Rev. Bobby Crabb officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. Pallbearers will be Daniel Clements, and Kirk Brown.
