February 17, 1956 - December 10, 2009

Mrs. Debra Paulette Wilson was born on Friday, February 17, 1956, daughter of the late Robert Allen and Ella B. Hughes Kirkland. Mrs. Wilson died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark, at the age of 53 years 9 months and 23 days. She was born and a lifetime resident of Trumann. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, two sisters, one brother and her parents. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Eddie Joe Wilson Sr. of the home; two sons, Eddie Joe Wilson, Jr. of Trumann, and Larry Wilson of Dixie, Ark.; four daughters and their husbands, Tonya and William Jackson, Dana and Michael Bratton, Amber and Jose Melchor all of Trumann, and Lisa Pope of TN; seven sisters, Patricia Bishop, Peggy Hanna, Nancy Kirkland and Angela Floyd all of Trumann, Betty Bishop of Bay, Annie Timbs of MO, and Yvonne Halfacre of Jonesboro; six brothers, Tommy Kirkland of Trumann, Timmy Kirkland of Olive Branch, Miss., Donald Kirkland of Miss., Ronald Kirkland and Dean Kirkland both of Louisiana, and Robert Kirkland of Tenn., 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Gene Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Trumann, Ark. . Active pallbearers will be Justin Kirkland, Jeremy Kirkland, Nathan Floyd, Larry Wilson, Bud Bratton, and Jason Bishop. Honorary pallbearers will be William Jackson, Michael Bratton, and C.J. Mason. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.. at Thompson Funeral Home. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
