Joyce Larue Hilton of Jonesboro departed this life on Friday, July 11, 2026 in Jonesboro at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 21 days. She was born in Dexter, New Mexico to the late James Elbert and Osia Ollie Wilson Smith. She was a bookkeeper for NAPA Auto Parts and was a member of Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hilton, three brothers, Vencil Smith, Ronnie Smith and Samuel Smith, She is survived by three brothers, Victor (Diane) Smith of Cusseta, AL, James (Marilyn) Smith of Meridian ID, and Matthew (Ronda) of Edgewood, TX; four sisters, Virginia (Rodger) Hardness of Hardy, AR, Bonnie Hotop of Ft. Madison, IA, Letha Pippinger of Jonesboro, and Esther White of Greenbrier, AR; and several nieces and nephews.
