Braden Post Byrd of Trumann departed this life Tuesday, July 21st at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 4 days. He was born Wednesday, June 17, 1942 in Poinsett County to the late William “Bill” and Vivian McGowen Byrd and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Braden retired from General Motors and was of the Church of Christ faith. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Russell and Jerry Byrd; three sisters, Juanita, Patsy and Susie; and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue Byrd; one son, David (Patricia) Byrd of Brighton, MI; one brother, Leroy Byrd of Virginia Beach, VA; two granddaughters, Cameron and Merdith Lane; and one great-grandson, Braden David Nielson.
