Bobby Manes of Trumann departed this life Friday, October 23rd at the family residence at the age of 76 years 3 months and 19 days. He was born Tuesday, July 4, 1950 in Caraway, AR to the late Rev. Cecil Washington and Clara Mae Moss Manes. Bobby lived in Trumann for 67 years and was the owner/operator of Trumann Body Shop/Manes Auto Sales. He enjoyed going to the lake and fishing with his family and little brother Gary. He joined the United States Army in 1969 and was stationed in Germany. Bobby married Lana Sue Henry Turner in 1975 and attended Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by one brother, J.C. Manes one brother-in-law, Ronnie Tackett and his parents. He is survived his wife of 51 years, Lana Manes of the home; one daughter, Alescia Michelle Manes of Trumann; two step-children, Lynda Sue Bergeron and James Joe Turner; three sisters, Sue Sturdivant of Greenbrier, AR, Teresa Tackett of Harrisburg, AR and Judy (Ronald) Hollie of Trumann, AR; one brother, Gary (Tammy) Manes of Trumann; two grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Celebration of Life will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home Rev. Jerry Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, AR. Pallbearers will be Jerry Whitsett, Timmy Renshaw, Gary England, Derek Pippinger, Donald Turner, Scott Presley, Tommy Davis and Zane Gehring. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Hogan and Don D. Walton.
