James Franklin Brooks

James Franklin “Bubba” Brooks, 54, of Trumann, Arkansas, died suddenly Friday, October 23, 2026, of a massive heart attack. He was born February 11, 1972, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, to Linda Elizabeth Blankenship Brooks and Jimmy Joe Brooks. He grew up hunting and fishing, was an avid duck hunter, was good at any job he got, and loved the jobs he had in Fort Smith. What he loved most was his dog, Hunter, who he loved more than himself. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his nephews, Travis Broadfield and Andrew Addison. He is survived by his sisters, Shellie Broadfield Phipps and Kandy Broadfield Mclemore; his nieces, Jessica Coleman and Reba Phipps; his nephew, Ryan Mclemore; several great-nieces and great-nephews, and special friends Mike and Barbara McConnell. A service will be held, with details to be announced.
